With more than ten years of agricultural-industry experience and work supporting over 250 farms of different sizes, he guides farming protocols, practical training, operational practices and the adoption of appropriate agricultural technologies.

A Professor of Soil Science, Vice-Dean of KNUST's Faculty of Agriculture and Head of Crop and Soil Sciences. His work spans carbon and nutrient cycling in tropical ecosystems, soil conservation and climate-smart agriculture. He chairs the CSIR–Soil Research Institute Management Board, has built more than 50 international collaborations and has attracted competitive funding from organisations including the World Bank, Royal Society–DFID, IFDC and the African Plant Nutrition Institute. He has supervised 30 PhD researchers and received the 2023 KNUST Distinguished Researcher Award.
